Sarah Irish, Naz Kulbayeva, Paul Phillips and Meriel Barnbrook attended the VFX Festival in London.
From the 7th – 9th February, Escape Studios (part of Pearson College London) organised, hosted and secured a stellar line up of industry greats for The VFX Festival, for its 5th consecutive year!
The venue this year was Rich Mix, East London’s leading independent arts venue, and presentations were held across the three days from Escape’s industry partners including Framestore and MPC, who gave talks on Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and The Jungle Book.
The Festival covered the weird and wonderful worlds of VFX, Gaming Animation and Motion Graphics – the Technology Hub was home to HP and Escape Technology, and SideFX, who showcased new and innovative software, and The Mill who had a stand where we could experience the latest virtual reality technology.
As well as the three cinemas which screened presentations with (top secret!) information on how these amazing movies were made and the Technology Hub, there was an Education Hub where Escape had their stand (which was designed by our very own Scott!) and the new Escape prospectuses which were the main showpiece on the recruitment day (Day 1).
Sarah, Naz, Paul and Mez all attended Day 3, and it was great to see the work Hunterlodge have been involved with come to life – from media assets which promoted the event and seeing the printed collateral in-situ – to learning all about the magical world which our clients at Escape get to work in everyday!
In addition, it was awesome to see all the hard work our clients over at Escape and Pearson have put into to make 2017’s VFX Festival the best one yet.
